The other day I was thinking about what I like to edit versus what I like to read. And I realized I am a bit of a paradox -- I prefer to edit technical, non-fiction types of work, but I almost always read fiction. And then I started to think about writing and I realized that I feel that same way -- I would much rather write instructions or a procedures manual than try to write fictional dialogue any day. However, one day I think I might try my hand at writing fiction just to challenge myself.
